Vocalist, vocal arranger, educator and vocal percussionist Tracy LJ Robertson enjoys working in a wide range of musical settings. Through over 15 years of experience as a working musician, Tracy has enjoyed collaborating and performing, recording, arranging, educating, and facilitating creative spaces for and with musicians of all backgrounds.

Five years ago, Tracy began touring and educating as the primary vocal percussionist of The House Jacks, bringing his passion for deep pocket (groove) and instigating and empowering classrooms and audiences to experience their own creativity. Through improvisational vocabulary and games/forms made popular by Bobby McFerrin, Rhiannon and other members of his “Voicestra”, Tracy cherishes opportunity to realize and reflect individuals’ creative potential, while simultaneously facilitating hands-on discovery of technical aspects of music for beginner and professional musicians alike.

In touring and recording with a handful of award winning professional a cappella groups since his early 20s, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the a cappella world in particular. Having collaborated, music directed and arranged in a variety of vocal and instrumental settings since his teens, Tracy’s rich musical vocabulary combines with diligent connection to musical ark and message making him a dynamically creative a cappella collaborator and educator.

  • SAG-AFTRA vocalist featured on screen/air with Justin Timberlake, Sabrina Carpenter, Michael Bublé, and in the 2020 Grammys with Billie Eilish

  • Sharing the stage with a variety of artists including Andy Grammar, Michael Buble, Victor Wooten, Valerie Simpson, and Dream Theater

  • AVA (A cappella Video Awards)-winning music video writer, multi CARA (Contemporary A cappella Recording Awards)-nominated recording artist, directing and arranging for two-time ICCA winning collegiate a cappella group “Pitch Slapped” of Berklee College of Music

  • Sharing the stage for a concert at the Berklee Performance Center with “The Singing Tribe” featuring his idol, Bobby McFerrin
